Before And After.

If you don't watch my vlog then you have no idea that I am on a steady diet and gym routine.. I didn't really notice a difference until the other day when I got a wedgie - about thirty times in one day. My underwear are too big, I don't feel 'bloated' anymore and my boyfriend has stopped jiggling my belly and referring to me by the name of his overweight friend haha.

Last night I wore a brand new outfit - I forgot to take photos so I will put on the outfit again tomorrow and take photos to show you what I was working with. I honestly felt a million dollars. I don't know how many kilos or pounds I've lost but my stomach has gone down a lot and my legs are slimmer already. I've always been a Coke bottle from the front and back view but lately I have been a Coke bottle from the side view as well - which is very unattractive let me tell you!

About six weeks ago I finally got sick of being uncomfortable in my clothes (and skin) and decided to do something about it. My girlfriend got revved up when I told her what I was doing so we now go to the gym together five days a week and to the pool, sauna and spa on Sundays. I've started roughly counting calories subconsciously and watching what I eat but the last few days I have slacked off a little bit. On Wednesday I will go hard again (because Monday and Tuesday I'll be at my grandparents house with no gym access) and I think I will swap my standard Thursday gym sessions for a full night of dancing in heels at a local club with my mates.

I really do have to put photos of lastnights outfit up but for now these before and after shots will have to do. They are about a month apart - taken in the same dress and in the same room of my house. This dress is sort of my measuring point for if I'm losing weight. It may seem weird but I don't trust scales.

I still want to lose another two dress sizes but I have really started to love my body again and that is the most important thing.

Oh Grandma, What Grey Hair You Have!

Normally, this is what my hair looks like when it's wet - fresh out of the shower.

I should have known something was wrong when my hairdye went THIS colour after five minutes of being applied.

Maybe if I had of washed it out sooner, I wouldn't have been left with this:

After a hysterical freak out session, two extra light pearl blonde hair colours and a much needed nights sleep, this is the colour I was left with.

'What's the big deal' you say? 'It's still blonde' you add?
Well here are two comparison photos.

Before:

After:

Oh yeah. BIG DIFFERENCE.
Not to worry though, it's back to a beautiful blonde now.
Phew.

Ladies with platinum blonde hair - stay away from "Ice Blonde" colours.

She's "Still Big Red.."

After watching Bring It On for the four hundredth time, I can't get the line "I'm still big red" out of my head.. Which spilled over into my time at Tafe because one of my close friends has BRIGHT red hair.

She had a shocking regrowth (sorry hun, it had to be said) so I offered to bleach and redye her red. It's been years since I've been employed as a professional hair colour technician so it was fun to do someones hair other than mine, my mums, my grandmothers, my great grandmothers or my brothers (when he's feeling brave).

I would have liked to have gone over the back panels once more, just for my own state of mind but my friend seemed pretty happy when it was finished.

Here are some before, during and after photos. I thought I'd throw in some photos of me with red hair, just to reminisce.

Not So Much A Mother Of Pearl, Maybe A Sister?

After constantly having brassiness issues I figured it was time to use a hair dye rather than just keep putting toner on my hair once a week. I didn't want an ash blonde or a golden blonde so my mum suggested a pearl blonde. At first I hesitated but then I trusted her judgment after considering the fact that she has been every shade of bottle blonde over the last 35 years.

I have been sticking to a light beige blonde recently because I never thought I could find a super light blonde that wasn't going to make me look like I use a gallon of bleach. Not to mention that I really thought it would be way too harsh on me.

Let me just say that I was AMAZED at the difference in colours. I really didn't expect the colour to work at all on my hair.

I took two photos (without makeup) which are before and after photos.

The before photo I obviously had a lot of brassiness coming through.
I think that's why I assumed the pearl blonde wouldn't work.

Although the colour doesn't seem very light or even very nice on the hairdye box, it is an amazing colour when it's on your hair.

And here is a poor example to prove it.

Both photos are pretty ordinary because I'm not wearing makeup and my hair isn't even done properly but like Usher said - "Oh My God!!!"

If anyone reading is blonde, if anyone reading is looking to lighten their brown hair and if anyone out there is battling with brassiness or dullness of any kind..

PLEASE USE THIS HAIRDYE!

Project Blonde Update.

Progress so far. Click to enlarge.

Oh and no I didn't cut my hair or burn it off.
I have the length (which is still down to my bum) clipped back because I was organizing my room. I just pulled the front around my face to show you the colour difference so far.

Still a long way to go.

A Transformers Transformation.

I'm sure thousands of blogs are talking about this at the moment but I have to mention it.

Megan Fox has overdone the cosmetic surgery.

She was so gorgeous in Transformers, had started to change in Transformers 2 and now she looks like a bee stung her forhead and the rest of her face is puffy as a result.

The transformers girl, has transformed.

I'm so glad they have replaced her.

Hair - Before And After.

I don't know if it's because I drink a lot of soft drinks or because I eat food that isn't exactly diet-friendly, but my skin & hair in the last 6 months have gotten a lot oilier (if thats a word). Only two days and I need to wash my hair.

A year ago my hair could go five days without
washing, still look great and didn't clump together AT ALL.

This is my hair before and after I wash it.

I purposely didn't wash my hair for five days to show you what I mean. I didn't brush it for the last two days to show you the clumping together.

My hair has changed a LOT in the last few years, not just the fact it needs to be washed more often but it no longer dries curly.

It dries sort of straight with kinks in it which causes it to bunch together and tangle/knot.

I hate how flat and lifeless my hair goes when I straighten it. To keep it thick and voluptuous, I just blow dry it as soon as I get out of the shower so it's straight but still full. The only problem with that is that I have a lot of fly aways - as you can see.

To get rid of them, I roll it up in a loose bun that gets rid of the frizzy strays and also gives it a bit of a wave.
