Golden Eye

Here is a dodgey photo of my eye makeup today. Love the glitter? Pick up Australia Double Decked in Supernova Casanova. Chocolate brown creme shadow as the base and golden orange pigment pressed on top.

Australis Double Decker Swatches!

I love pigment and I love bronze creme shadows so I knew a happy dance was not far away when I unwrapped one of my stocking fillers at Christmas to find this Double Decker eye duo from Australis. I get both of the things I love in the one convenient package! It's similar to a lipgloss pot but the top opens to a creme eyeshadow which can be used as a base, liner or on it's own. In the bottom is one of the most amazing sparkly glitter packed pigments that I own and it can be used on it's own, wet, dry or pressed ontop of the creme eyeshadow.

I've swatched the pigment (left) the creme shadow (middle) and what they look like using the creme eyeshadow as a base and the pigment pressed ontop of it (right).

As soon as I swatched it, I knew I needed it in other colours so I went into Big W the next morning and purchased the colour Cosmic Rays.

For only $10 each they are a perfect addition to anyones make up kit, whether you're a makeup newbie or a seasoned professional!

You can buy Australis cosmetics at Big W, Target, Kmart, Priceline and selected pharmacies.

Everything That Glitters Isn't Always Gold..

I got home from gym today and was actually in the mood to play around with some makeup before I had a shower. I washed my face, applied foundation to half my face and grabbed the closest bright eyeshadow which was a Mac pigment pot in the shade Bright Fuchsia
It's a very dramatic and daring colour, perfect for summer.

After rummaging around in my makeup drawer I found a matching Glitter Eye Creme by BYS in the colour Cherry Bloom. It reminded me of a tutorial I watched on YouTube called "How To Get Fairy Eyes" (or something along those lines).

Here is my inspiration photo..

And here is my two minute replica:

You can tell it's a rushed job but I found it fun to experiment with such a bold colour and glitter is never "safe" so the combination of the two was so daring. I may just wear this look clubbing on the weekend.

Australis MakeUp Palette Swatch.

This is not so much a review as it is a 'hey check out what I got' post.

This Australis palette was part of my birthday presents but because I have so many birthday presents I am going to break it down into reviews, swatches and hauls.

Cover.

18 eyeshadows.
2 blushes.
1 bronzer.
6 lipglosses.

Left row swatched from bottom to top in order.

Right row swatched from bottom to top in order.

I didn't swatch the lipglosses.

I love palettes. They are convenient in every way. The best thing about this palette is the two blushes in my opinion. I'm not a huge user of purple and blue eyeshadows but the rest will definitely be put to good use.

The bronzer looks more like a gold eyeshadow in my opinion.
The eyeshadows seem very pigmented and the dark shadows stained my skin until I washed it off with soap. Let's see how well they wear.
