Pantene Night Miracle Review.

After bleaching my hair last week I have started using treatment products to lessen the damage of my hair.

I used a Fructis treatment which didn't make a difference, a Schwarzkopf treatment that was not worth the price tag and then I forgot my rule and I bought the Pantene Night Miracle treatment. I had seen it on tv and liked the fact you can 'use it on dry hair and it dries odorless and residue free'.

The first night I used it, I thought it was great. I put it on my dry hair, while I was watching tv and I went to sleep. I woke up and instantly touched my non-greasy and soft hair. As soon as I felt, smelt and seen a good result, I let all of my bad memories of Pantene making my hair a greasy dandruff mess just fade away into oblivion and I continued to use it.

B I G M I S T A K E .

I used it three times, it seemed fine. My hair was responding well, keeping it's frizz free straight style, not clumping together, it was tangle free and the ends just felt like silk. The fourth time I used it, it was like someone gave me the evil eye. I woke up the next morning with dirty oily hair from scalp to tips. My hair was a notty tangled rats nest and my hair looked broken and more damaged than it even is!

I was too busy enjoying the after effects of the first three applications to remember that Pantene always gives me the most perfect soft thick luxurious hair - and then it takes it away. The fourth application is less glamorous. It's like Pantene just builds up on each of your strands until your hair decides to wage open war on the foreign invasion of hair product. I understand it's what my hair needs to do, but it's never pretty. My scalp becomes the main battlefield. I need to wash my hands as soon as they touch my hair because my skin feels sticky and greasy. I know that sounds bad enough, but if I touch my scalp I get a instant gag reflex. It feels like I dipped my fingertips in melted jelly babies mixed with sloppy doughnut icing - without the gorgeous colours, flavours or scents.

To try and put an end to this war, I washed my hair twice, put some treatment on the ends only and then blow dried it so my scalp didn't have time to fester in the dampness. It's a lot better now, a week later, but the ends of my hair are dried out and brittle. Pantene is a poor loser and leaves you worse than it started. If it can't take over and come into total power, it will make your hair pay with it's life. I've seen enough broken hair strands and split ends to last me a lifetime. It's time to bring out the big guns. I'm going to visit Hairhouse Warehouse tomorrow to get some hairdresser quality treatments so my hair doesn't melt or snap when I decide to bleach it again.

Overall - In my opinion, don't buy this product. Pantene is not good for your hair. I use Pantene once every 50 washes just to boost my hair but it's never something I can or will use full time.

Take A Picture, It'll Last Longer!

Today I went down to the local mall. It's actually not a mall, it's a street with some shops down either side and no cars are allowed to drive down there, so I call it a mall. It's actually referred to as '***** Place'.

I have been looking at old photos (as you can see throughout this blog post) of me with a fringe and it made me decide to buy a fringe extension online.

I had to go to the mall so I could deposit money into my account to be able to pay for my fringe piece and a Givenchy bag I just bought off Ebay (yes, I'm back on Ebay).
The fringe was only $8 with free postage and the Givenchy bag (can't frikin believe this) was only 99 CENTS and $10 postage.
Who the hell wouldn't put a bid on this bag?!
It didn't have a photo so it could come and be ugly as sin but who cares? I'll alter it if it is that bad. People have no imagination sometimes.

I withdrew my money from the post office and the lady at the post office has had her hair cut from waist length to shorter than her ears. I couldn't believe it. My hair is almost the same length hers was so she told me all about the fact she thought she was getting too old for long hair (screw that for a thought process) and that she had to argue with the hairdresser to make him do it! Damn right she had to argue with him, if I was that hairdresser I woulda been hesitant too!

It makes you appreciate your hair so much more when you see someone with really short hair I reckon. I have looked down at my hair all day. Twirling the ends, scrunching it and noticing how dry it is =\.
I bought some new shampoo, conditioner and treatment so tomorrow I'll do a before and after to see if my hair is any different after it's gotten a treatment.

After the post office we went to the supermarket, the fruit shop and then the bakery. Just before we left we decided to get $3 of hot chips because they rock on a cold day.

I was standing in the fish & chip shop with my side to the owner, the worker and the two guys they were talking to when I heard the owner of the fish & chip shop say 'That is a perfect ass.' He said it reallllly softly to the worker and the guys at the counter but I have excellent hearing. They all casually looked at me and then looked back at each other like a group of cheeky schoolboys who are checking out a teacher or one of the cheerleaders.

Seriously? Like, seriously? Come on guys..
I have to admit I get a flirty/embarrassed smile on my face whenever I see the worker Burak. It's the smile you get when you catch someone staring at you or when someone catches you staring at them. It's the automatic big cheeks, red as a beetroot grin and even though he is like 17/18 and not stereotypically good looking, I cant help it. It's just one of those innocent things.

Shit, I'm close to racking up a 'hussy' reputation with the guys at this mall aren't I? I'm flirt-smiling with the barber, the chicken shop guy and the fish & chip shop guy. Haha. I feel intimidated when I go there because there is always big groups of guys standing there talking. Some are my age, some are highschool age, some are even my grandfathers age and it's embarrassing and intimidating because even though I'm with my mum, I walk past them and they all go quiet and watch me walk past.

I'M NOT THAT GOOD LOOKING GUYS, SHIT! Play hard to get at least lol. It's disgusting really, even when I wear no makeup it happens. If they knew me, they wouldn't stare because they'd know how much I HATE attention like that.

It comes down to this saying..

'Why are you trying so hard to blend in when you're born to stand out?'

Ohhh yeah, looking real up myself right now haha. Come on girls, you know I'm not. Well, if you didn't know then you do now. How many up themselves girls eat a pizza with this much enthusiasm? LOL.

All Is Fair In Hair And War

I always say I have a devil on my shoulder when I'm tempted to do bad things.

It's usually most used in refrence to my blonde obsession. I have naturally light hair. I was blonde until primary school, then went to a light brown. My mum Scarlet is naturally a mouse blonde. I have been dying my hair jet black since I was 13. That's 9 long years of the black hair dye running through my strands. With a few exceptions of bad choices throughout the years. Here are some examples of those bad habits.

It starts with a 'little strip of bleach and some fudge in the fringe wont damage your hair'.

Then turns into 'go a slow healthy process for your hair, half a head of foils wont hurt'.

Soon after being nudged into a 'whole head of tips', my hair looks like I've dipped it in milk chocolate. Which isn't too bad, but it's boring as hell.

'Just add a little more bleach. It'll be blonde soon..' but it's all copper & brass from here.

With impatience setting in quickly, he whispers 'dark red fudge is the way to go'.

The colour not being as bold as he wanted, the devil in my ear forces my hand & convinces me to bleach it again and once more just to be sure.. Then applies a cherry bomb & pink flamingo fudge all over - leaving me with this.

When it's all said and done, I get bored very easily.

My hair started off as this.

& ended up as scraggy old..

Which forced me to cut it to this..

So after a year of it not growing at all, I wake up one day after not straightening, curling or messing with my hair at all, only to find that my hair has finally forgiven me and grown back in what seems overnight.

As you can see, it's back down to my waist/bum.

I guess the point to all of this is that whenever my hair looks fantastic, healthy and super long, I go ahead and stuff it up. It starts small but it always ends up in disaster and I always end up back to black. So I did what every normal bleach addict does - I bleached someone elses hair to get it out of my system.

My mum.

She was a California blonde (as you can JUST see in the last photo with me) which is a sandy yellow/nothing blonde.

She is now a platinum white blonde. Stunning.

It's all thanks to these WONDERFUL items.

And with NO damage, hair loss or melting what-so-ever might I add :)

Success.
The bad thing is that I can hear the words being whispered even as I type this.

'If it worked on her, why wouldn't it work on you? Take it slow, do it right and you can be blonde in no time - with close to no damage.'

The only difference is that now I know the voice is talking shit.

Photos of my mums hair will be posted tomorrow.

Peace.
