An Outfit And A Giveaway.

"So you canceled on him, did you?" I paused for a second, looking at the time on my laptop. "He will be here in eight minutes" she insisted. I looked at the clock again - "No mum, he will be here in THIRTY-eight minutes" I assured her." Then it hit me. BAM. I'm not dressed, have no makeup on and my hair? Don't even get me started on my hair.

I'm horrible at getting ready the last minute. My makeup turns out awesome but my clothes just seem to run for the hills. I can't find a single thing to wear and the things I want to wear are in my laundry hamper, collecting dust and strange smells from the socks I use to excersize. There I am, hair done, makeup PERFECT and I'm sweating, swearing and freaking out at the fact that I have nothing to wear. I'm suffering from a womanly time at this point in this month *cough* so I'm bloated as anything. Half my dresses make me look pregnant, the skirts don't sit as good and I'll be damned if I'm wearing track pants out on a date.

How could I have forgotten that he'd be here at 6.30? Ugh, Ebay is totally distracting.
After a screaming match directed at my clothes, a tear or two out of stress, I found (well my mum found) me the perfect outfit. I wore my black and white 3/4 length sailor dress. It's a body con dress that clings to all the right curves and gives me a defined Coke bottle body. It does wonders for the boobs and even more for the a$$. It's the perfect dress to grab someones attention and you can wear it shopping or out to dinner (in summer).

I didn't want to show my upper arms (paranoia) so over the dress we decided to put a Supre cropped mini jacket (hard to explain). It's like a bolero but it ties up at the front - allowing for maximum cleavage. You can see it in yesterdays FOTD.

I just paired that with some sandals and a clutch and I was ready to go. I went inside, knowing at any second I would hear the rumble of his WRX engine pull into the driveway. I sat down to play a quick game of Block'd on my phone when I seen his message.

"I'm really sorry hunni but I just got some terrible news and I'm in no shape to come out tonight. Any chance you will reschedule?"

There's a man who knows me. He asks if I WILL reschedule, he doesn't just automatically assume I will. My old philosophy that I've recently bought back into fashion is the Three Strikes And You're Out! Rule. If in the first three months he does three major things wrong - eg lies, silently stands me up, jerks me around, makes me cry, yells at me ETC, three strikes and he is out. Bye Bye, C Ya - Wouldn't wanna be ya!

I'm glad I didn't let my fantastic outfit, hair and makeup go to waste. I wanted it to be appreciated. It was the first day I was actually blonde. As if I would waste that!

I walked down to my local mall that I always tell you about and got my brother a pack of Smiths chips and I got myself two lemons to use in glasses of ice water. The guys at that mall always appreciate me and now that I'm getting my confidence back, I don't mind at all.

Fantastic.

The reason I started writing this post was because I have to tell you girls about a giveaway I just entered. You win a pack of travel size/mini Urban Decay eyeliners.

These got my attention because I love love love coloured eyeliners. They are my most cherished thing in my makeup pile. I haven't worn them for a year but now that my hair is light, I'll be wearing them all the time. Yesterday I wore green (as I showed you), today is raining so I'll be wearing blue.

To have a chance at winning these awesome eyeliners - click here.
Giveaway ends on November 15th.

Style Inspiration - Beyonce: Crazy In Love film clip.

My last post reminded me how much I loved every outfit in the Crazy In Love - Beyonce film clip.

The same goes for:
Me, Myself and I
Soldier
Bootylicious
Survivor
And probably 10 other film clips of her and/or Destiny's Child

Going Gaga For PVC.

An outfit worn by Lady Gaga that I'd actually wear.

In LOVE with the skirt.

Ditch the bag.

I'd even buy the matching lingerie.
(minus the fishnets and clear dominatrix gloves)

Todays FOTD, Outfit & Dinner Outing.

Today was my cinema and dinner outing with my mate Tuesday. We didn't end up going to the cinema and dinner was more like afternoon tea but either way I had fun.

I was planning on doing a FOTD so I did my makeup nicely for once and then I didn't take any close ups so what a waste!!!

This was before I left the house. I had just washed and blow dried my hair.

I used fake Mac eyeliner, Chanel mascara, Infallible foundation, Bourjois pink blush and a Versace lipstick.

I wore a striped skirt and a black knit top.

It was hilarious because my brother and I walked to the bus stop together and it started to rain. I didn't have an umbrella or a hat in my handbag so I used my waterproof tote bag that is always folded into a coin purse cover. It came in handy for double use because it kept my hair dry and my brother stood 2 meters away from me so that people didn't think we were traveling together haha.

It didn't look THAT bad, did it? =\

I'm really angry because Tuesday took two really nice pictures of me but my camera froze so they deleted. GRRR. Here are some boring ones I took of myself at the end of the night.

Anddd here's a preview of Tuesday doing a strut back to the car..

These are photos of the gourmet chocolate we bought. $3 each, pfft, they'd wanna be gourmet! I got the top one, he got the other one plus about 5 more.

(Photo Heavy) Shopping Trip

This was the post I was meant to do yesterday before my Mac left me for a man because Tuesday is currently attempting to salvage what he can).

I was going to do a FOTD (face of the day) and a 'what i wore today' entry but I stuffed up. I didn't take a proper photo of my makeup or my outfit before I left the house so you will have to imagine how awesome I looked (lol) by these photos I did end up taking. I wore a blue knit long sleeve body con dress from Vicious Threads (circa 2008). Have only worn it 3 or 4 times. My hair was all over the freakin place as you can see. I wore my new Forever New white and black lace print tights and some silver sandals. I looked pretty standard but I have never really posted an outfit I've been wearing so this is my every day casual look. Who wants to get all dolled up when they are walking and shopping all day?!

My makeup consists of the SHITTIEST foundation EVER - thankyou CoverGirl. One hour and I'm oilier than a pan in Chef Ramsays kitchen. I wore a pink blush by Boujoirs, dark blue eyeshadow by Red Earth and a dark blue metallic eyeliner done in tradition cat eyes fashion (flick on the end). It was a Bourjois. AWESOME eyeliner. It goes on really smooth and doesn't smudge. My mascara is good, it's yellow and purple. Will get back to you on that one.

This wont be a huge draining post (by my standards). Mum and I went to Brunswick today (remember this is being posted a day late, so it was yesterday) (Brunswick is where the post box is). We went into a chain store op shop/thrift store called Savers and I got 4 pairs of ballet flats, a pair of pink Ralph Lauren trackie pants, a Mickey Mouse by Disney jumper, a bag hook, a Seduce khaki silk military dress, a red Miss Shop dress and some other bits and pieces. Only two of the ballet flats are for me, the others were for mum coz they were too big. The mustard Tony Bianco buckle flats were only $3.99!!!!!! They have been worn like once! They still sell them at Tony Bianco for around $90.

We then went to this cafe called Yiannis where mum got a hot chocolate (should have saved everyone the trouble of complaining and just named the damn thing a cold chocolate on their menu). I got an iced coffee which instantly gave me stomach cramps and as embarrassing as it is to admit, it gave me gas like an hour later. Thank god it was cold so no-one else was waiting at the bus stop. Between mums yawnburp and my silent gas we couldn't stop laughing. Which could have made it worse, but surprisingly made me feel better and less bloated/cramped.

It was so cold that mum wore her scarf, my scarf and tightened the drawstring on her hoodie so tight that all you could see was her eyes and nose all squished together. Hilarious, I'm telling you. Our bus eventually came. It may as well have been a horse and carriage it was so old. It is now called the Disco Disco bus because the lights are dim (until the driver steps on the accelerator and the lights go bright for litterally two seconds) - not that it matters because the cloud of dust he left the car behind us in meant we had their fog lights and high beams to make up for the 'mood lighting'. Also the 'bus stopping' and exit signs were purple and blue and floor infront of it that you could have been break dancing and noone would need to move a muscle to get out of your way. Ahhhh, stretch out the legs. We walked home in the freezing cold, I didn't wanna wear my gloves because they didn't match my outfit. I called my friend Emin and got a message from VL Sulu. Came home to some linguine and a heater - SUFFER IN YA JOX PAIGE (jokes jokes). Took the photos of my new stuff and sat down. Oh yes, LOVE the relaxation.

Peace.
