Damn You, You Cow!

There has always been a saying in my family that I actually used quite often.

'A cheeseburger cures everything.'

Now while we do know that a cheeseburger is not the cure for anything, it definitely made us feel better when we were depressed, sore, sick, stressed out or all of the above.

It wasn't until recently that I realized that cheeseburgers were actually make me worse. I've always had an iron stomach. I could eat jelly with salami, milk and wine, cheese and porridge. I never actually mixed any of those things together, but I had the ability to take a bite of one then a bite of the other and I'd never feel sick from it. Ahh, the joys of being young.

Now that I'm 22 and my hormones have changed, I've developed a lactose intolerance. I don't need the blood test to prove it, I know I am. Whenever I eat ANY kind of dairy, it could be instant or it could be the next morning, but I end up paying for it.

Milk, cheese, cream.. All of those things and anything else dairy are my inevitable ticket to a concert called 'The Toilet Blues'. If any of you have ever been to see it, there I am sitting front and center.

It's sort of ironic that the one thing that always made me feel good is now the thing making me feel bad.

Any other lactose haters out there?
