I was recently sent a sample of Klara Cosmetics Kiss Proof Lips in shade 05 (red)

The thing was phenomenal. I made a road test video throughout my day to see just how durable it was. I'm impressed to say the least.

Mascara Review - Maybelline Falsies Mascara.

Straight out, this mascara gets a 9/10.

It's not clumpy, doesn't dry out, doesn't flake, isn't sticky, isn't smelly and lasts all day and night.

I don't think there is anything more I can tell you except to go and buy this mascara.

It doesn't give you the false lash look but it does accentuate the hell outta your natural lashes.

Look at the difference with only two coats!

Mascara Review - Maybelline XXL Pro 24 Hour Bold Mascara.

I am very impressed with this mascara.

So impressed yet still only giving it a 7/10.

Even though it doesn't smell, doesn't flake, is long lasting and doesn't clump when your applying it.. I think it's a major problem that it's stickier than a piece of chewwing gum and takes AGES to dry.

Mascara Review - Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara.

First off, let me apologize for the low quality of photos as they were taken on my Macbook Pro.

I'm reviewing the Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara. It's a very funky tube in Barbie pink and lime green.

Packaging for me gets an 8/10 just for the fact that it's so distinctive and fun.

The mascara itself is not as impressive as the packaging.

I have naturally long lashes - and I mean VERY long. If I look up, my lashes touch my eyebrows. You can't tell when your looking at me with no makeup because the tips of my eyelashes are blonde so they can look quite stubby, but they're lying to you.

As you can see from the photos below - this mascara does NOT do my lashes justice at all. To me, it's like wearing no mascara.

The wand wouldn't even allow me to cover my the blonde ends of my eyelashes.

As you can tell - it doesn't add anything, just makes them black.

All in all this mascara is not for me. But in saying that, the finish is amazing.

It is soft, non sticky, non-drying, doesn't flake off and lasts all day and night.

If you are looking for a mascara to trick the world into believing your eyes look this good all the time - then this is the mascara for you.

Overall - taking into consideration that it's a fantastic finish, lasts so long, looks so natural and doesn't smell - I give this mascara a 6/10.

Body Shop - Cranberry Joy Shimmer Lotion.

For Christmas last year my grandparents gave me this amazing shimmer lotion by The Body Shop. I love the effect it gives. Such a subtle but clearly visible shimmer in any light.

I don't wear it as much as I want to because the cranberry scent is honestly overwhelming and I'm not a huge fan of cranberries to begin with!

The scent is it's only real downfall.

The size of the glitter is perfect.
The amount of glitter is perfect.
It washes off easily in the shower.
It applies easily and evenly.
It doesn't leave the inside of your clothes looking like the floor after a new years eve party.
Doesn't leave your skin with a sticky or greasy film.

I give this product an 8/10

Swatch Saturday!

I love buying makeup.

Even though I definitely do not need one more makeup item to shove into my collection, it's an addiction and I'm more than happy to admit that I'm addicted.

Below are swatches of four different CoverGirl Magnetic Color Pot Lipglosses.

I haven't had the chance to wear them but they're gorgeous and highly pigmented colours.
The fact they are not even the slightest bit sticky also gives them a massive tick in my eyes.

My FAVOURITE Lipgloss: Napoleon 'Mauritius' + Swatch.

I'm a massive fan of peach lipsticks and lipglosses. They look great on girls with dark hair or light hair and girls with a tan or no tan..

Peach is very diverse.

Napoleon Perdis Set in Mauritius is the most PERFECT colour lipgloss I have EVER found.
It's thick, creamy and non-sticky. Plus it has a gold shimmer through it.

Just look at the photos and judge for yourself. Definitely worth going and buying five.

NYX 'Golden' Cream Blush Review + Swatch.

I'm not sure if I love this blush or hate it.

I love cream blushes for a start and this is a peachy/nude blush with a golden shimmer through it but now that I own it, I wish I ordered the actual cream bronzer.

It's an in between colour that I don't think can be worn alone. I think it would just blend into your foundation and add a little sparkle.

Maybe my skin tone is just too naturally olive/tanned to wear this colour.

I think it would be best on girls with a really fair/pale complexion.

I'll make sure to wear it a few times over the next week and give a proper review on this item but for now, it is taking a back seat to all of my other blushes and bronzers.

Yves Saint Laurent Challenge: Day One.

As I said in my last post, ten days to wear sixteen products. I'm going to find this hard considering I rarely wear makeup at the moment.

Day one:

I wore one of my new lipsticks that I bought yesterday.

YSL Rouge Volupte - 30 - Peche Faubourg/Faubourg Peach.

Faubourg Peach is a very creamy, almost-neon peach colour.

It's very moisturizing, long lasting and it smells nice.
Doesn't taste too bad either.

A TINY amount goes a long way with this lipstick.
These photos were taken after I blotted my lips on a tissue and even after I blotted, my lips felt a bit slippery (in a good way).

The lipstick is so moisturizing that it felt a tad similar to a non-sticky gloss.

Open Your Eyes To Wild Cherries - Semi Review.

It's 6.47pm and you wouldn't know it but about 10 minutes ago I was fast asleep on the couch with my head crammed in between a stack of pillows and my legs twisted like a pretzel. I guess that's what happens when you are sharing a couch with yourself, your dog and your mum. I could have been a pilates teacher or an Olympic gymnast with the moves I just made. I feel terrible kicking my dog off for doing the same thing I am. She has a right to be comfortable to. The only real difference is that she sleeps 18 hours a day and I sleep 8.I woke up to the sound of my brother cooking. I told you he is training to become a chef, didn't I? Yum yum, dinner is almost ready.

My subconscious never fails to have perfect timing waking me up when it comes to food.
I opened my eyes and the first thing I seen was my Body Shop Wild Cherry Body Butter.


My grandmother surprised me with it the last time I visited her. It's a thank you but for what? I'm not sure. My mum must have told her how much I love the scent of cherries so her last Body Shop party she purchased it for me. You have to love her! It's 200ml for $27.95 which is a fair amount of money but the stuff lasts such a long time! I'm still not sure if I'm in love with it or not. I have been using it since my perfume ran out because it's a strong cherry scent that lasts a long time. The only problem that I have with this product is that it leaves a residue on your skin. It never fully absorbs. I applied it at 9.30am and 9 hours, being out in the train, putting on a pair of trackie pants and having a nap still hasn't made a lick of difference. I run my finger over my legs and my fingertip feels a tad greasy.

Your skin doesn't look oily, greasy or shiny - you just know it is. I guess it's good in a way because you only have to apply it once every 24 hours. You also have the benefit to know your skin will still be moisturized until you wash it off but then again it wouldn't be very appealing if a guy (or girl) touched your arm, leg, back, hand or any other body part and then needed a wet-wipe to clean their hands. The residue is a little out of your standard napkins capabilities.

I love the scent and I love body butter in general, I just don't appreciate feeling like a surf board all day. I feel coated in wax, I really do. Maybe I will try the body lotion, shower gel or even the bar of soap from the same range.

What a wonderful coincidence and bonus that they are all cheaper than the body butter.

It's A CATatonic CATastrophy!

My mum is sitting next to me on the couch and surfing the internet on her laptop. She told me to look up Paul And Joe cosmetics to see how beautiful the packaging was. As always, she was right, the packaging is magnificent. I started having a browse at their items when I came across it..

Cats.


Not just the packaging but the lipstick itself is moulded as a cats heads. Although I'm intrigued by their individuality and I'm impressed at how different the concept is, I'm a person who eats the heads off animal shaped lollies and tiny teddies biscuits just in case they can feel it. I always want to 'end it' quickly for them. They know their fate, they're glucose or dough, but still.. it's not my place to pull them apart or chew them slowly like little kids do just to see how far they will stretch before they snap. *cringes*


I dunno, I freak out a little when people eat animal shaped things from the feet upwards because all I can think about is 'that innocent little jelly baby is being tortured'. I obviously watched Toy Story too many times as a kid. It had an effect on me. When the rubber toys in the claw machine started 'Ooooooing' I knew I was changed forever.


Cats on their own freak me out. I swear by the fact that they are evil. Cats cannot be trusted so it's obvious what my opinion is on these lipsticks.

Evil. Haha, not dramatic at all.

I honestly can't imagine slowly watching the cat lose its ears, eyes and nose. I can see it now.. I'd go to apply it and the face would change from (turn head on the side to see the smilies)
=) to =o or even worse, it would change to.. >=|

Nope, will not be purchasing this range of Paul and Joe lipsticks. No unnecessary torture to kitten lipsticks for me.

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche Hair Mist Review And Weekly Feature.

Quality: So good that it's a weekly feature! Let me explain..

I've have mentioned in the past that Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche is my true love in a bottle. It is the perfect scent to my nose. It's fresh without being masculine, it's feminine without smelling like your grandmothers bowl of potpourri and it is never sickening or overpowering.

If I love the perfume so much that I wont even consider intermixing others into my life, of course I am going to love the hair mist.

Some people would consider this a waste of money and in reality, $120 is a LOT of money for a measily 35ml but it's oh so wonderful to own. I didn't pay for it as it was one of my birthday presents from my mum and I'm forcing myself to take it easy to make it last. I could probably use 35ml in a week if I went out with my friends a lot haha.

If this was 100ml for around the same price, I'd buy it as often as I buy the perfume. My hair is very damaged at the moment and the last thing I want to do is spray perfume on to it. This hair mist is not harsh and stays on for hours.

Why do I spray my hair? I have the problem that when I spray perfume, after 10 minutes I can't smell it, even if everyone else can. This usually results in me re-spraying myself every half an hour, thus wasting a lot of my expensive perfume. This hair mist solves the problem of my perfumes disappearing act because every time I move my head, I get the sweet scent of Chanel in my nose and an instant smile across my face. In other words, I smell amazing and look like a happy and nice person at the same time. That's a winning combination in my eyes.

Would I recommend this? If you have the money and love the perfume I'd definitely recommend this. I don't think I would have bought this if my mum didn't give it to me as a gift. I can't justify spending that much money on such a small item. So if your like me and not up for spending big bux on a small item, I'd recommend buying the gift box. It's roughly the same price if you hunt around for it. I just bought the gift box on American Ebay for $120 AUD including postage/shipping to Australia. On the American Chanel official website, the perfume gift box is (I think) $120USD not including postage/shipping. I don't know about you but I'd prefer to pay USD $120 compared to the $450 Australia charges for the exact same gift box. Like I've said before, Australian is an expensive country to live in.

The gift box includes a 50ml perfume, 30ml moisturizer and 30ml foaming shower gel.

In a week (when the gift box arrives) I'll be washing, spraying x 2 and moisturizing in Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche.

The next Chance spokesperson? I think so.

Pantene Night Miracle Review.

After bleaching my hair last week I have started using treatment products to lessen the damage of my hair.

I used a Fructis treatment which didn't make a difference, a Schwarzkopf treatment that was not worth the price tag and then I forgot my rule and I bought the Pantene Night Miracle treatment. I had seen it on tv and liked the fact you can 'use it on dry hair and it dries odorless and residue free'.

The first night I used it, I thought it was great. I put it on my dry hair, while I was watching tv and I went to sleep. I woke up and instantly touched my non-greasy and soft hair. As soon as I felt, smelt and seen a good result, I let all of my bad memories of Pantene making my hair a greasy dandruff mess just fade away into oblivion and I continued to use it.

B I G M I S T A K E .

I used it three times, it seemed fine. My hair was responding well, keeping it's frizz free straight style, not clumping together, it was tangle free and the ends just felt like silk. The fourth time I used it, it was like someone gave me the evil eye. I woke up the next morning with dirty oily hair from scalp to tips. My hair was a notty tangled rats nest and my hair looked broken and more damaged than it even is!

I was too busy enjoying the after effects of the first three applications to remember that Pantene always gives me the most perfect soft thick luxurious hair - and then it takes it away. The fourth application is less glamorous. It's like Pantene just builds up on each of your strands until your hair decides to wage open war on the foreign invasion of hair product. I understand it's what my hair needs to do, but it's never pretty. My scalp becomes the main battlefield. I need to wash my hands as soon as they touch my hair because my skin feels sticky and greasy. I know that sounds bad enough, but if I touch my scalp I get a instant gag reflex. It feels like I dipped my fingertips in melted jelly babies mixed with sloppy doughnut icing - without the gorgeous colours, flavours or scents.

To try and put an end to this war, I washed my hair twice, put some treatment on the ends only and then blow dried it so my scalp didn't have time to fester in the dampness. It's a lot better now, a week later, but the ends of my hair are dried out and brittle. Pantene is a poor loser and leaves you worse than it started. If it can't take over and come into total power, it will make your hair pay with it's life. I've seen enough broken hair strands and split ends to last me a lifetime. It's time to bring out the big guns. I'm going to visit Hairhouse Warehouse tomorrow to get some hairdresser quality treatments so my hair doesn't melt or snap when I decide to bleach it again.

Overall - In my opinion, don't buy this product. Pantene is not good for your hair. I use Pantene once every 50 washes just to boost my hair but it's never something I can or will use full time.

A Never Ending Search For The Perfect Black Liner.

Like a lot of other women in the world, I am always on the lookout for that perfect black liner.

After a trip to my local supermarket, I found that these two eyeliners are the highest contenders for my favourite black pencil liner.

LEFT BELOW/RIGHT ABOVE: Covergirl Exact Eyelights for brown eyes in the shade Vibrant Pearl.

RIGHT BELOW/ LEFT ABOVE: Maybelline Line Express in Ebony Black.


I have used Line Express many times over the years. It's a great, reliable, long lasting eyeliner and it doesn't smudge easily. All of these things automatically draw me straight back to it but after this swatch on my hand, I've converted to Covergirl Eyebrights for brown eyes. It's perfect for all my black liner needs. It just would NOT rub off my hand until I got my makeup remover wipes out. Water didn't even make a dint in it. Plus, I love the fact that it's a semi matte finish compared to the Line Express which dries a bit shiny.

Either way, two GREAT eyeliner pencils for around the $10 AUD mark.
