Forget The Chocolate This Valentino Day, Just Give Me The Roses.

I don't know about you girls but I'm only 22 years old. At the moment my favourite designers are Fendi, YSL, Marc Jacobs and Dior. I have appreciation for all designers and I'd freak out with excitement and joy if I was ever suprised with a Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Prada, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani or any other famous designers item but I find that the classic style of YSL and Fendi are always to my liking. Marc Jacobs and Dior make fantastic items for the 'young fashionista' so I can always trust them to give me colour and flare.

Although I consider myself well rounded in my style (because I don't have a specific style), I am ashamed to admit that I don't have a large range of Valentino.

There, I said it.

I know that a lot of people will be reading this and thinking 'What is she on about? I doubt more than a handful of people actually have a large range of Valentino items laying around', but I mean it in the sense that when it comes to my extensive folders containing PICTURES of designer items, Valentino photos are few and far between.

I have photos of his beautiful couture gowns and a few accessories but they are almost all vintage items and they are all things that I wouldn't wear until I was 30 - 40 years old.

The clothes are just too elegant for the stage my life is in at the moment.

I have always look at Valentino as the more mature womens designer.
And no, I don't mean it's for old bitties, I simply mean that when I'm 40 and want to impress, I'll be wearing Valentino.. Or vintage Halston. They are original Hollywood glamour designers.

What more would a WOMAN want?

Besides this fabulous Valentino rose applique bag.

Although it's still not targeted at my age range (I know this without a doubt because if I bought one for my grandmother, although she would have no idea how many thousands of dollars it cost me, she would treasure it because of the design in itself) I'd proudly wear this bag every day, especially because the colours are so eye catching.

You may be thinking, 'What's the big deal, it's a bag with some roses on it' and yes I know this isn't the first time someone has sewn some material roses onto a bag but that being said, I have never seen a jewel toned rose applique bag in a large satchel size. Most roses are wasted on clutch bags, jewelery and headbands.

This is one of the smartest bags in the sense that I could hand this to the 15 year old version of myself and I would love it. I can hand this to my great grandmother of 90 and she would love it.

So, after writing all of that, I must thank Valentino. Thank you for reminding me that designers and their creations are timeless and never restricted to an age limit.. Just a bank limit.
